What can Pilates offer you? It can make you stronger in every way. If you’re an athlete, Pilates can cross-train your body to counter the repetitive movements of your sport, thereby keeping you balanced and less prone to injury. For everyone else, Pilates teaches us to find better posture through exercise, correcting imbalances along the way.It begins by making you aware of your weaknesses. Then, by learning to properly apply the Pilates principles to each exercise, you retrain your body (using your mind) and strengthen those weaknesses. During this process, your brain learns not only to fully control each muscle in your body, it also learns to conduct the orchestra of muscles that generate the symphonic movements of your day.
